Catherine came to Pilates as part of her search for physical well-being. She has always been an avid athlete, enjoying skiing, swimming and team sports. In 1995, while still in her 30′s, Catherine was diagnosed with osteoarthritis. As her condition advanced, she became aware of the importance of core and joint stabilization. She started Pilates in 2007 as a client of the studio, and quickly realized that this exercise method would help her joints stay mobile and healthy. She became certified in STOTT Pilates in 2009 and continues to learn new modalities of movement and health. Catherine does Pilates and Body Rolling daily, and continues to be inspired by the process and results of her practice.
Catherine’s credentials include:
- B.A. History, University of Michigan
- Level 1 Certified STOTT Pilates Instructor for Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrel
- STOTT Pilates Injury and Special Populations Instructor
- Yamuna Body Rolling
- Certified in TRX Suspension Training
Catherine Shares: “My strength is in connecting with my students to help them discover the strengths they already posses. Then, they are able to generate positive energy towards their own well being and success. I try to live in such a way as to allow each person’s unique gifts room to grow.”
